A recent process I have learnt in
photography is iphongraphy; it is basically the art of creating pictures with
an iPhone apple device, although it can be made with other phone devices. This process
involves, selecting an image off of your device and placing it in the enlarger, the
image then projects onto the piece of photographic paper and then the print is
placed in relevant developing solutions to get your outcomes. All of this is done in the
safety of the dark room under strict conditions some of these conditions are as
follows:
-
Do not remove paper from the
bag until all phones are turned off otherwise it will ruin the paper and a
print wont be able to be made.
-
When paper is placed on the
enlarger while selecting an image make sure it is covered so again it is not
exposed.
-
After you process your image
take your phone out of the enlarger and turn the light off (while the paper is covered)
- Then you are ready to
develop your print, it is easier to work in groups when taking part in this process
so that you have full control over the light situation, wasted paper means
wasted money.
I think the prints I created
are definitely contemporary, the images were a series of different patterns
taken from my personal pinterest, they were developed really well and are all accurately
focused, I could see these designs printed on garments as they are so
contemporary and interesting. It was my favorite process to take part in
because it allowed me to integrate fashion and create good outcomes.
