Spring/Summer Beauty Trends.

It might be a sad time for you lipstick fanatics because- eyes are the focus for autumn/winter 2014. From liquid latex applied to the lids at Dior to extra-long false lashes at Rochas and Gucci, make-up artists determinedly turned their attention to eye make-up when creating the season's catwalk beauty looks. Models like Malika Firth, Cara Delvingne, Jourdan Dunn all sported this look at fashion week and it is not going to die anytime soon.
Of course the effortless natural look remained popular, but this time with either a healthy, sporty vibe - partnered with naturally wavy, tousled hair - or with clever sculpting and definition for a perfected take on the bare-faced look. For hair, ballerina buns returned to the spotlight, whilst cornrows made an unexpected appearance at Alexander McQueen, Marchesa and also DKNY.

1. Light and Shade. Get hold of a highlighter for your face and under those dark circles, giving you a glow.

2. The Lash Effect. Long eye lashes are in this spring/summer so find a mascara that works for you and tame those lashes.

3. Plaits. Never thought these would make a return after your 10th birthday? think again, conrows and plaits are now the hairstyle of choice especially in fashion week, but do you have the guts?

4. Ballerina. Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief as ballerina buns are back in, but when did they ever go? easy hair maintenance for an off duty look.

5. Colour Flash. Strong colours for the eyes are in, with colours such as cobalt and pink !

6. Sweeping Fringe. The return of the sweeping fringe, not a favourite of mine but if you can rock it go for it girls.

7. Morning After Eyes. Spring summer is all about bare face and eye makeup, so the morning eye look is essential find yourself some good eye liners and get to work.

8. Precious Metals. Metal like colours for the eyes are in and are actually rather flattering with warm skin tones.

9. Sports Luxe. Bare face and no makeup at all is not going to be disappearing from the cat walks anytime soon, so if you are brave enough, go for it.

10. Painterly beauty. Stripped black liner across the eye and blocked black colour is the last one on our list, as I save the favourite till last.
